Have had to install XP again and I have downloaded Java Runtime from Sun but still cant get it to work. Keep getting this message everytime I try to get into the chatroom

DigiChat requires a Java Compatible web browser to run.

Question

Have you got Java enabled for your web browser?

Only option I have enabled under Tools->Internet Options->Advanced and then the Microsoft VM bit, is the Jit compiler option.

Could be that?

Or you can install the Microsoft one, which although they no longer supply from themselves, is available here http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html. This is the one I have on my machine but it says on that page that the Sun one should work anyway
