php front on mysql DB

any idea how much a freelancer ould charge to set up a phpfront for a mysql database running on solaris9 (if that matters)
at the moment, everything is quieried throught he mysql admin page, this becomes VERY TIRESOME
all I am after is an idea on how much someone would charge to creaste the front end for the DB, no fancy gfx, just good functionality
or how much cost per/hour or per/day for a php coder

ahh just realized, the only way we currently querie the DB is through a phpmyadmin login anyways
I am just after ideas on how much it would cost for someone to polish it all up with a nice front end
