I seen in a magazine recently that you can buy a box of tricks, that will allow you to connect your PS2 to your pc adsl line.

Ill try to find out what its called..

Think I saw SOCOM and Twisted Metal online out today. Might think about getting one when GT4 arrives :-)

You can pick up ADSL modem/routers quite cheap these days (got mine on eBay about 6 months ago fo 90 quid, cheaper now). A lot of them come with 4 port hub as well, so you just plug the network adaptor into that. If you've only got 1 port on your modem/router you can get a cheap hub to give you more ports.

From what I've read you can use WiFi gear as well, no wires but it's damn pricey.

They had the network adaptors in HMV on Saturday for £29.99.

Presumably you just plug that in, then plug a modem in the back, then into your ADSL line.

I'm also on Pipex, but going to wait for a while - wonder if theres any monthly charges with anyone?

Thumbs up

Bravo - can you plug it straight into the microfilter then or not?

I have a microfilter very near the PS2 for the downstairs phone line.

Would be great if I can just route some cat5 from the back of the network adaptor to the filter - thought you might have to have a modem/router in between?

Got a home network.

4 Port Router
1 PC (Mine on the 2nd Floor)
2 PC's on the 1st floor + router.

The router is 20m or so from my room.Got a cable at the moment but i want 2 net connections.

Do i
a) buy another huge cable and use the last port?
b) can i buy one from wall plugs, and then plug both connections into that. But would i need 2 lines or wire going to that or could i share one somehow?

If you dont understand ill do a diagram

Cheers Si
