Need a new laptop, with wireless lan to pass time in the airports.
But which one.
I like the "look" of the Asus M2E but most of the reviews I read point toward Acer TM803.
Any of you out there with any of these machines, or recommend another. Don't want to spend much over 1500 but less would make me happy.
Need XP Pro, Office Pro, 512Memory and hopefully Bluetooth built in.
Why is it almost impossible to see any of these machines on the high street?

Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S series. Not sure on retail price (WillieF or http://www.fujitsu-siemens.com/rl/pr...lifebooks.html may help) but i am getting one next week at work.

Not sure if they are widely available yet ? I know people like Dabs, Ideal, Computacentre and NicePC are resellers (and ECS).

I believe next month's PC Pro has a group test on these - might be worth a look.

Cheers but I need mine a bit quicker than that
Amazingly there seems to be nowhere on the high street you can see a range of laptops anymore. Barring PCWorld, Dixons and Comet.
I like buying on-line but really would like a touchy-feely session with the machine before I buy it.

Carl
TM803 scores highly in most of its reviews.
When you get it please let me know your views of this machine regarding travelling extensively to customer sites, going through airports travelling in the boot of the car etc.
Only downside was graphics but I'm sure Sokoban won't hurt it too much

Not coming till tomorrow now.

If it lives upto the reviews I will be happy.

I'll play with it over the weekend and give you some feedback.
