The RAID controller on the P4C800 is a little touchy(I think it needs a bios upgrade to 1006 or higher.
I used a High Point 404 Controller, rather than the on board one. Check www.asusboards.com for more info

After a little trawling through sites and patches eventually just got it all working and windows updated
