Question

Got a sig for the bottom of my posts - is this just really geekish and sad or is it quite cool?

Concepts alright but the fonts all wrong imo. Try another.

i think they distract from posts making it harder to read what you've typed as eyes are drawn to the purty picture.

As for the font - yeah think your right its not the best one.

What about making it smaller to be less distracting?

But is it too geekish?

Hows this?

I agree with Mr. Cookie, the first thing you look at is the picture, glossing over the rest of the post.

Dont bother, Simon implemented signatures for plus members and everyone complained till he got rid of them.

Thumbs down

If you want a sig, make it very small (short but wide is better) and make it a bit better. Also, it would look far less tacky if it was a GIF (with the bit behind the car/text transparant) than just a big block.

But really, I wouldn't bother. Sigs are very irritating, and a waste of bandwidth.

I quite like sigs, avaters even better. Adds an extra dimension to a persons membership. I'm sure I've come across forums where you can turn viewing sigs off in the options screen. Keeps everyone happy.
