exhange 5.5 sp4 problem

When Exchange receives a "bounced email" from our ISP, it comes from this address : - From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON>
and should get routed back to the sender on our network
However, Exchange doesn't seem to like the <MAILER-DAEMON> address and logs this :-
Event ID: 4022 553 malformed address: <Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON>>
and this :-
Event ID: 4032 SMTP Reply:553 malformed address: <Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON>>
The end result of which is no one knows when they have sent an email to a bad address, which is a bit of a problem to say the least
I cant find a fix
