The soundtrack is mint - first few weeks was just spent driving around listening to the tunes.

But it's not out until tomorrow!!

I had to make do with Enter the Matrix, which is currently burning a hole on my desk before I can go home and play!

Cool

Mark:

To do a wheelie you need to use the UP button when accelerating on the bike. (The UP button is the one you use when flying the helicopters and planes)

Just hold down UP when stopped and start accelerating by feathering the throttle to keep doing a wheelie.

To do a stoppie, you need to hold down the DOWN button when going very fast. Then hit the brakes while holding DOWN.

Gold hold of a copy today

It's feckin hilarious I have yet to find anything I can't interact with in some way or another.
have not found a hooker yet though

I love the way it drags the occupant out of a car.
To start with I though I would get run over if I stepped in the road, but they stop for you so you can nick the car, how convienient.

Don't suppose there is a "NO cd patch" available yet ?
what would be the best site to keep an eye on ?

Andy

There is a no-cd patch on www.gamecopyworld.com

Once in type "Vice City" into the search bit and it comes up
as the 7th option i think.

Enjoy

Thanks for that Kosy, I am now wheeling and doing stoppies all over the place... the only thing is I am wheeling so much that I keep crashing into cars LOL

Anyway.. I need help on some missions... I am mega stuck..

the phone mission where you have to kill all the bank robbers.. I cannot do this.. I can kill the Guy on the ad stand, and the one in the armoured car, but the one who drives the pickup keeps getting away and I waste so much time trying to catch him that the time runs out by the time I get to kill the guy on the boat..

Also the mission with the bikers where you have to make loads of noise in the city and the noise level goes up..(or whatever it is) I manage to get it to move a little by blowing up police cars and the fire engine but then I go to 5 wanted stars and the FEDS come, I have no chance then and I run out of time plus I get busted or killed...HELP!!!!!

I cannot do any more missions until these are done now..

Mark;

1st thing..... stop doing wheelies

Bank mission;

The trick to doing these type of missions is to try and block their car with yours at least for a second while you get out and use a heavy machine gun (not the uzi) to blow them up. It only takes a few shots. Shooting out their tyres makes it easier and if you can get in front of them, shot the windscreen and you will kill em.

Another was to do it is; get on a bike and shoot forward while on it to blow them up.

Chaos mission;

Make sure you have 100 health, 100 armour and plenty of M16 ammo before doing it. Go to the grass and stand next to a wall (so they cant run you over so easy) and start killing everything with the M16 (especially cops). When the police helicopter comes concentrate all fire with the M16 on it, this will push up the chaos meter very fast and complete the mission!

Goodluck!

Ok will try that .. I was trying to shoot him when I was on the bike but once he was low on health .. or it seemed like his engine was going to blow up he would start coming after me and would knock me off my bike, then he ran me over Grrrrr

It saids don't get to close or they will see you, but when I have tried to use the sniper rifle and shoot them through the windscreen that never works and they just drive away Grrrrr

I spent 2 hrs trying to do these two mission lastnight... started to get a little pissed off....... I think I will leave them and buy more properties instead.

The bank robber mission is pretty easy with a rocket launcher

The chaos mission is pretty easy to rack up the meter just by shooting out at burnt out cars.

Question

Does anyone know how to add or replace the cars in GTA Vice City (PC version)? I know you used to be able to do this in GTA3?

Anyone done it for the above yet? Want to give me some tips?

Cheers

A lot easier if you have the minigun too. I followed a top tip on here:

1. Buy the skimol shack up the stairs onto the roof near the biker bar, then you can save right next to the mission.

2. Jump on a bike at the biker bar and turn left then right through a sort of archway in the middle of a hotel. Into the car park at the rear. Then shoot cars to your content and rack up the chaos meter with ease.

Yeah now that I found the R.L. the bank mission was a piece of pi$$, also the "messing with the man" mission was easy to... I did what kosy said and I never got hit by the police .. easy..

I am now 49% though the game and I must say that I am finding it a lot easier now.. infact too easy...

Super_si

to rescue Lance, just jump on a bike and whip to where lance is being held... whilst on the way as you go over the hump back bridge pull a wicked Stoppie on your bike ...careful that you don't tip over thou.. (I love em) hehehe... then boot along the straight, pass your mansion ...pulling a wheelie.. :wink: then when you reach the ally way jump off the bike and use the R.L on the car that the three men are standing by.... thats them sorted.. pick up all their cash and ammo as you go in.. and then using the M16 take out everyone....get lance and jump in the trash truck, then cruise to the hospital... when the rest of the men turn up, they can bash your truck to $hit if they like but you wont take that much damage...

job done...

Si that's interesting. On the GTA VC forums and fan sites they seem to be saying it's almost identical. What differences have you noticed?

I've often wondered how far I've got to completing it, and you all mentioned percentages. How can I tell how far I'm in to the game itself?????

Good tips on freeing Lance by the way Mark - I'll be trying that tonight.

Hope the new car's okay mate.....

Little subtle differences, obviously graphics are the main thing they are crystal clear, very sharp and detailed.

Also the sounds, might sound funny but there are some brilliant, with the sub and 5:1 speakers, its amazing the difference.

There are a few others ill just have to play it now to remember them
