Need some help with this.

Got a Win 2000 Server (SP3) and have put a new Ethernet card in it.

The plan is, set it up to be a mailserver (which it is already) a fileserver (which it is already) and now a VPN server, as we want our US office to access the server via VPN.

As you can probably tell, I've not got a clue. I've gone into Routing and Remote Access and it asked what kind of thing I'd like to setup, so I said VPN, and I went through a few things, and it seems to be installed.

I specified two IP ranges, one for our office here, and one for the US office.

Now, I could not connect to our mailserver once I'd done this. I had to disable the connection to the NIC that I'd told the VPN to use.

So, what do I need to configure?

Is it behind some sort of firewall I hope so or you (could have) a well hacked server....

You can do all this through the Microsoft RRAS and routing solution.

Are you running ISA server on it?

Jeff Wiltshire who is down your way will sell you a nice VPN solution to connect it to your other site and protect you from the outside world.
