Question

Hi all,

I need to get a good PC based graphics package for doing promotional material, leaflets, logo work etc
I may be using some basic photos, but I'm not too worried about doing extensive modifications to digital photos.

I've used various packages before, including PhotoShop, but I'm no expert.

Need something that I can get started quickly with, but has enough features/capability so that I'm not limited once I'm up to speed with it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Rich

Hello

A cheap solution is PagePlus from http://www.serif.com.

Not bad for creating leaflets and newsletters.

Steve.

Wink

I went for photoshop & bought a book - I figured that a bit of short term pain was worth it coz it will be around for a while - other things may be easier to learn, but will they last.....

It's not that hard once you set going - it's just scary how much stuff I keep finding !

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Iluustrator, or even Macromedia Fireworks would all be recommended by moi

Thumbs up

Thanks for the replies folks

Funnily enough, a friend who does graphic design and web production for a living once told me that Photo Shop was the tool to use.

As I've lost touch with him, I just wondered if something else was now considered better, particularly with the sort of things I intend to do as stated above.
