Folks,
Need some ideas on what sort of motherboard, CPU, ram type, graphics card (dont want ATI), to build a FAST pc. 3D game performance is highest priority and must be Intel
General specs required...
Single Intel CPU
1gb Ram
Fast as hell GFX card (no ATI's please)
Good architecture mobo - we all know its just not the cpu that makes a fast pc
Cheers for any info/feedback you might have
Richie.

Why no ATI? Radeon 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro is the daddy when it comes to video cards ATM.
If you have lots of cash, then get one of the new Canterwood 875 chipset motherboards which support 800Mhz FSB. Match up with a 800Mhz P4 3Ghz, Corsair DDR400 RAM and it will fly.
For a cheaper option, get something with the 845PE chipset. There is talk that some boards with the 845 will support 800Mhz FSB CPUs.
Chris.

If you want the fastest GFX and don't want ATI, then you'll have to wait for the new Nvidia NV35 chips out someday....
Or buy a GF FX if you can find one, and have a inbuilt hair dryer.
