Hi all,

Ive got a Cisco 2500 router, no one in the company knows the password.

Can I break into this? any help appreciated!

There is no "default" password - well try "cisco", network engineers are an unimaginative lot

You need password recovery - I'll get you a link

is there anything I can reset hardware wise ie like reseting the bios on a PC motherboard, I really want to get the router back to "new" as Im trying to learn about cisco stuff(I know a little but not much)

No magic hidden button.

Once you have access to both normal and enable modes (follow the above). You can erase the config with "wr erase". when you reload it will be configless and will (depending on the s/w version) put you in a startup script answering questions about your required config.
