ive got webspace with my provider but i want to host some pics not worried about building a site at the moment just for pics.
What do i need to do this?

At its most basic level you just need an "FTP" client. This allows you to copy your pictures to your web-sire. You'd then be able to access them like
htp://your.domain.co.uk/picture1.jpg
or possibly
http://your.isp.com/username/picture1.jpg
Depends entirely on your ISP.
