Why do I keep Getting 'Cut off 'with Publisher 98?

Need to make a few signs for work but I'm being held by this and I can't see why.
The last letter of whatever word I put up keeps getting cut off. Not all of it about 20%.
Why? It fits on screen ok. Infact I'm pretty conservative with the word art tool and leave on screen what appears to be plenty of room.
Help Please.
