Question

Hi,

I'm developing a basic Intranet for our company. I would like to include some forms for user feedback on some of the pages. I've found that most form scripts are cgi based and require a cgi server to process them. How do I install a 'cgi server' and what sort of software should I use/where can i get it?

Regards

Marc

CGI depends on your webserver, your webserver should come with loads of docs on setting it up. Most UNIX machines will use Perl for CGI since it comes with most OSes, you'd need to install a version of Perl if you wanted to use Perl with CGI on Windows. You can use any language you like for CGI, as long as it supports STDIN, STDOUT and STDERR.

Steve.
