This is probably a very stupid question but how the hell do you get out of the landing craft as the front drop down door of the boat won't open? I have done it once but not sure what I done??

 

I jumped out the back near the mounted machine gun.

It is a bugger to get out of though....good job they weren't like that in the war

 

As your driving it, press the forward arrow and it'll drop the door down.

 

Well I never...that'll make it a bit easier

bit of a long shot this, but does anyone have any experience running a stand alone server with BF1942 ?

A few of us have just started renting a Jolt server and there are a few things I need to learn in a hurry so I have a couple of questions !

 

Took me ages to work that one out..

 

in the controls section bind a key for hatch up or down to raise or lower the ramp at the front

Also i highly recommend desert combat mod for bf1942
Just started playing. It has lots of new classes, guns, planes and helicopters
Flying the apache chopper, harrrier jump jet and a10 tankbuster are great!
Seems a very professional mod and at 150mb its well worth the download

So you have to be driving it to lower the front then! thats where I was going wrong
