Battlefield 1942 Online problems
#1
I have installed Battlefield 1942 and had some initial problems with the CD ROM drive spinning up and then stopping whilst loading levels. Looking on the EA site I noted that this is quite common and a "feature" of the game and the safedisc copy protection.
I used a no-cd hack and the problem has gone away. My problem is now it wont let me join any internet game - it always starts to connect and then states "disconnected from server".
Before you ask the answer is yes - I have purchased the game and am using a valid CD-Key printed on the manual.
Anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it. If all else fails I will reinstall original and put up with the levels taking 5 minutes to load.

Thanks guys - but I had patched to ver 1.1. Then applied the 2 patches from Gamecopyworld - but it still wont join the internet games.
My choices are.
1. Play with original Cd's and suffer lag, stuttering play, insane load times (ie 5 mins per level).... seems a lot of people have similar probs according to ea's forums.
2. Apply above patches and no-cd hacks. Smooth gameplay, levels load in 10 seconds.....but cant play online.
