Sound Problem With C&C Generals.

It keeps cutting out. I'll play for whatever amount of time but then the sound cuts out...And then maybe comes back on some random time later.
Doesn't seem to matter what resolution I play at or anything. Doesn't seem to be any logic to it.
Anybody else had this problem? Is there a patch I've missed? Been to the EA website and didn't see one.

What soundcard have you got. I had a similar problem with my Audigy card with several EA games. I downloaded the latest drivers from creative labs, (sim city, battlefield 1942 etc) and the problem went away. I think most of the ea games use the same sound engine, which has a problem with the older creative drivers...
