By BB I guess you mean ADSL?

To do it 'properly', you'll need an ADSL router and a network card in each PC.

Ethernet ADSL routers start around the £90 mark and a decent network card (ie a NetGear FA312 10/100 PCI) is around £15 each.

Choose an ADSL router that has a built in mini hub so it's one less box to buy/find somewhere to live.

Buy a Dlink DWL 604+. It has a router, wireless and ASDL modem built in. Cost about £170 but it is a neat bit of kit. If you get the 520+ PCi card as well it will run at 22mbps as well. I use it and it workes everywhere in the house.

You could use a USB ADSL Modem and ICS on XP but IMHO it's a BIAS [1] job. Do it properly the first time with a DSL/Ethernet router.

If you're using ADSL, take a look at the Netgear DG814, which is a combined ADSL modem and 4 port hub.

I have done this at home. I have setup a separate machine to handlel the Broadband incomming. Acts as fire wall etc. I have a cheap 8 port Switch for network connectivity and use Winroute software to share the BB connex.
