toshiba laptop - any way to recover
Yes, ANOTHER question
Been a busy boy all weekend.
I have a Tosh Satalite 310/340 CDS (not sure as machine at work) that a user has brought to me and has put a bios password on, but cannot remember what it is.
I have offered to remove the data with a 3.5 to 2.5 cable converter and removed hdd, but is there anyway to recover the password without typing in several pages of bios backdoor passwords ?
Regards

We have a toshiba bios repairer in the office. All it is a parallel port loopback device. Stick it in the parallel port and start the machine up. Problem solved.
Here is how to make it
The device, named "loopback" by some, could be made out of any parallell wire with 25pins connectors (db25). You should connect these pins: 1-5-10, 2-11, 3-17, 4-12, 6-16, 7-13, 8-14, 9-15, 18-25
