IP and subnet question..

if you have an ip address of 212.125.29.202 with subnet of 255.255.255.252 how many host IP's would you have allocated in the whole range - I worked it out as two - is this correct ??

Blimey - I don't understand this 'cos the router attached to the firewall appears to be 212.125.79.201 and the two addresses I see bound to the firewall are 212.135.79.202 and 212.125.79.200 ??

.201 and .202 would be the useable addresses in the range, with .200 being the network address and .203 the broadcast.
Hmmm - time to check your config I think.
Save yourself a lot of problems, by checking your subnets here

Yeah - dug out a subnet calc earlier - what I don't understand is that the system in place is working and has been for ages, come to replace firewall and find this crap...
