This has allways been a prob with every windows o/s ive used but cant remember how to get round it,
just installed XP and entered ISP details but everytime i dial up the password has doubled in digits, tried removing and entering agian with save password checked but next time its doubled again,
any ideas

Its doubled because windows sticks in a set number of "*". No matter what you do, there will always be so many of them

oh yeah, doh!
didnt realise the password still works, allways deleted it and re entered.
