you can save as .rtf with the full version of Actrobat, but you will lose any pictures and formatting, But you can edit the text with word.
there are probly other ways and means, I'm not that well up on acrobat and all its uses, I think it also depends on how the original document was created, as to what you can do with it.

I am also now looking to convert pdf files back to word documents.
Does anyone have any recommendations for any software that will do this?
In adobe, using file save as RTF is not an option, as it loses the formating, columns / tables that I still need.

Indirectly convert PDF to word (.doc)
After you convert the pdf to html, you can copy its content including txt and graph) and paste to a word document using Microsoft word.

Tried the paqtools link, converts to html fine, but when I use word to open the html, I get one large picture followed by a long list of text.
No good I'm afriad, not for my files anyway.

Looks like that scansoft could do the job, but I would have like to download a demo verision first to test, which they dont seem to offer. Thanks anyway fig.
