IT Manager – Overall responsibility for the IT dept, minimal hands on involvement, concentrates on IT strategy, develops IT to meet the requirements of the business through close liaison with business centre managers. Motivates and manages his team to achieve the above.
IT Systems & Development – This is a mainly technical role, with emphasis on investigating the technical solutions to achieve the requirements of the business as directed by the IT Manager. This involves being able to work on one’s own initiative and to communicate clearly the results of testing of new technology to the IT Manager. It also involves being able to provide the technical expertise to implement new functionality for the business and maintain the IT infrastructure and applications. This is not a user support role.
IT Support – This role is essentially a junior role involving first level user support, maintenance of all PCs and client applications, printers, phones, mobile phones and managing the companies daily and weekly backup facilities.
Here are the job descriptions, and there are only 3 of us here! So one of each!!
