how annoying are missing pixels on TFT's
#1
As question. www.refreshcomuters.com are offering a test for £15 to ensure no pixels are missing, is it worthwhile having this done?. Thinking of getting the AOC720A for £280 which has had several recent recommendations.

That'll be http://www.refreshcomputers.com/ and not the association of people who want to avoid the congestion charge
I used to work for Digital (thense Compaq), and NEVER had a dodgey pixel in any of my company supplied laptops. However, there days, just about every TFT i see has naff (dead or always alive) pixels.
If a mere fifteen quid guarantees no dodgey pixels, then i think that it is definitely worth it.
HOWEVER, i just read the following from the web-site (18 inch TFT)....
Does this mean that error-free is less than 6 naff pixels??

AOCs policy is 6 faulty pixels before a scrren is deemed to be faulty they will take a view on three in a cluster in the centre of the screen
