Reducing jpeg file size to below 100k ?
#1
Does anybody know how I can shrink photo file size to below
100k for turbosport uploading. My photos are typically 300-500k.
I`ve got adobe photoshop 7 running on XP but aint got a clue
how to use it ! I`ve uploaded pics before that were larger than 100k but I seem to remember the uploader redirecting me to adobe`s
website for online filesize reduction but it doesn`t do this anymore ?!? Any help much appreciated.
Cheers Paul

XP has a built-in image resizer. Right click the JPG file in Explorer, select Resize Pictures. From the list, choose 640x480. then click OK (If you do not want to keep the original, click Advanced, choose "Resize The Original Pictures" before clicking OK)

Start photoshop 7.0
Load in your big jpeg
Select > All
File > Save For Web
twiddle settings - medium should be ok, and it'll tell you the new file size in the lower left of screen.
Click save
