Our Control Room staff use AZ maps for breakdown assistance and we are having a few problems with licensing. We bought the package back in March 2000 and only recently have we had to rebuild one of the machines.
On doing so the AZ Mapping software no longer works and asks for a licence code. The supplier and manufacture no longer support the program, thus meaning they are unable to give us the licence.
I have tried copying the licence files from one machine to another but this still fails. I think that the licence is verified by MAC address of the NIC.
Does any one use AZ Maps by Digital Data?
Thanks
Darren

I used to use the same program....
It is un-copyable
The install floppy creates an error on the disk (can't think of the exact terminology) but as its a "disk error" can't be copied onto a floppy WHY.
There is an Uninstall Prog on the original install floppy & that is the only way that you can uninstall/reinstall.
I'm surprised they don't support it, as it was developed in house...

Cheers Puff,
It was designed by Digital Data who are linked to AZ Maps. When it was purchased back in 2000 it was the only piece of software on the market that enabled our recovery call centre to display our recovery agents. Neither the supplier or manufacturer want to help.
We have just been doing some testing and we have decided to use Autoroute 2003. Just saved our self about £9000
