DNS problems

Home network, both PCs on XP Home. Using Windows ICS the client computer will only look up websites by IP address, not by domain name. I understand this to be a DNS problem - I've followed the instructions in Help etc for automatic IP address and DNS stuff but it's still causing me grief.
Both computers are running Zone Alarm Pro.
Any ideas?
