proxy+ troubles
#1
Hi all, bear with me coz i'm no the best at this!
I've got proxy+ on my pc, I use it for my laptop connection to the internet via a LAN.
I installed it saturday and it worked ok.
I just changed to NTL broadband and my laptop won't get on the internet.
I put in my TCP/IP address and 4400 in the browser to go to the proxy+ settings and there is no list of NTL in the dial up connections, it listed my old ones still.
I re-installed proxy+ and went back and still no option for NTL, any ideas?, have I forgot something?, as I say I'm not very good at this and am new to LAN's etc and saturday was more a fluke! lol
Any ideas how I can get my laptop on the net via my main pc?

I'm on my laptop now, looks like i've done it!
I changed the dial up connection to 'leased line', and it worked!, fluke again!
Is this the right thing to do?
Also, do I need a firewall on my laptop or is it just my main computer the modem is connected to?
