Question

I doubt I'll be using XBox Live any time soon, so want a decent modchip to remove region encoding for games/ DVDs etc
Any ideas which of the plethora out there are worth their salt ?

Not to mention a nice fast Broadband connection, a 10/100 NIC and a good relationship with your local BB video shop

Can't vouch for any of these mods - I don't have a box but here's some links for ya.

I've got a Matrix solderless MOD chip - rather good

Cheap too - $69 inc delivery

Includes programmer that plugs into printer port. You the just load up a BIOS you want. Piece of cake!!!

Well recommended - even I could fit it

Thumbs up

Spose I may as well comment

I have the Matrix chip in mine, took about 10 minutes to fit, no soldering. Its a great chip and does everything I need it to do. It has flash capability from the dashboard or from CD-RW and it has the ability to be switched on and off without the need for external switches as well as the other obvious features. There are new bios files out all the time with more and more features like the recent in-game reset.

Now they have bought out the new adaptor to allow additional bios files to be installed at once, I see no need to buy any other chip. Unless you like soldering of course
