Is there a way to find out the admin e-mail address for a .uk domain name? Trying to transfer a domain and want to know which e-mail address i'll get the e-mail on.

run a 'whois' on the domain (samspade, internic etc)....a little bit of emuration will give you your answer...if your still stuck after a while, post the domain and I will grab it for you.

You can do this from a dos prompt :
C:\Documents and Settings\Chris>nslookup
Default Server: cache1.ntli.net
Address: 194.168.4.100
> set type=soa
> britleisure.co.uk
Server: cache1.ntli.net
Address: 194.168.4.100
Non-authoritative answer:
britleisure.co.uk
primary name server = ns.simplynames.co.uk
responsible mail addr = hostmaster.britleisure.co.uk
serial = 2000043104
refresh = 14400 (4 hours)
retry = 3600 (1 hour)
expire = 1728000 (20 days)
default TTL = 14400 (4 hours)
britleisure.co.uk nameserver = ns3.simplynames.co.uk
britleisure.co.uk nameserver = ns.simplynames.co.uk
britleisure.co.uk nameserver = ns2.simplynames.co.uk
>
see the bit where it says "responsible mail addr" ? swap the first "." for an "@" - you get : hostmaster@britleisure.co.uk
Try that one.
Otherwise get in touch with someone at simplynames.co.uk as they're currently hosting the domain and must know the people using it.
Cheers

You should use an admin address that isn't part of the domain. For example, I have bogart.org.uk. If I set the admin address to hostmaster@bogart.org.uk and something goes wrong with the domain (e.g. my hosting company detag it ) then I won't get any e-mail send to the admin address. Far better to make the admin address fred.bloggs@hotmail.com or something, IMHO.
