anybody know of any good sites that can give you a full runthrough of installing and configuring the Bind daemon??
will be based on solaris9 more than likely.

Google is your best bet, you will find hundreds of references. The O'Reilly book DNS & BIND is pretty good too. You may want to consider running it in a chroot jail, you'll find docs about doing that online too.
