Just borrowed a digi video camera off my girlfriends brother. Anyway, i have no software in which to get the footage off the camera and onto my pc in an avi or mpeg format.

Can anybody help ?

What OS are you using?
Do you have a firewire card?

I have windows 98 and usb connection

I don't know what fire wire thingy is !

You will need a firewire connection. You can usually pick one up with the cable & editing software for £50-£100 from PC World or any other computer shop.
