Have got an "iomega peerless firewire drive" it is a 20gig drive via firewire,

I am using it as a backup device,

backed up laptop at 15mb second great

I am trying to put that data onto a PC,

P4 pc homebuilt running fine, drive recognised etc etc, no conflicts in device manager.

As soon as i try to copy any of the "peerless drive " contents onto my pc it hangs/crashes get nothing have to reboot.

My system is reporting no conflicts,

std cards inserted and usb ADSL modem, all works fine apart from the peerless drive.

I bought a 3 port firewire card to go in the PC have installed it and everything seems fine

Any ideas.

Should I format the PC's hardrive and start again

thanks in advance

jase
