Question

I want one - or I think I do!!

Palm Zire is highly rated at £70

as is

Palm M130 at £170

as is

Sony 625 at £199

I want to sync with PC and Lotus or use the supplied software, would like a colour screen BUT that eats batteries and costs loads more, is it worth it?? Is a PDA worth it at all??

According to computer mags the DELL Axim X5 will be a steal for the spec. It's due for a UK release in Feb.

http://www.dell.com/us/en/gen/topics/segtopic_axim.htm

A google search throws up plenty of info. Only downside is the only wireless connectivity it has is iRDa but CF slot should allow expansion for Bluetooth or 802.11

Cheers

Mark

I just got a Clie SL10 for a colleague - replacing a Psion Revo - and i have to say it's very impressive - it is Black and white and personally I'd always try and get a colour screen, but it has the new Sony high resolution screen which is very good. For only £85 it's way better than the Zire as it has 8mb not 2 mb storage and has room for a memory stick too.

Fyg WHICH rated the Clie SL10 and SJ30 the best buys in the budget end of the market above the M130, Zire and Handspring. Although they reckoned they were being replaced in the spring.
