I have an ipaq 3630, pc is running win 2000, i have downloaded the sync software from microsoft but when it starts up it cant detect the port that the ipaq is on??
I have made sure the settings are the same on the ipaq and the pc but still with no luck?? When searching the ipaq starts to look for something the just stops?
Any ideas??
Thanks

I had exactly the same problem. Same iPaq version, same O/S. I got it to work by changing the settings on the serial port (handshaking, transmission rate). I'm afraid I can't remember the precise details as it was >1yr ago now. I got a USB sync cable eventually - seems quicker & is definitely more reliable.

You don't say what Rom revision your running, would recommend upgrading the the latest 1.87 for PocketPC2000 if your not using that rev already.
