PE_DUPATOR.1503 virus

I have downloaded a trial of PC-cillin which says I have the PE_DUPATOR.1503 virus. There are a growing number of files which it says it can't clean.
A search on the web found very little information on this virus. I would dearly like to get rid of it without having to reformat.
I would also like to know what the probable route of infection was so I can avoid it again and know if I am likely to have passed it on.
Most of the infections seem to be in the C:\_Restore tree.
