Need advice on new PC laptop
Anyone know which laptops are highly rated at the moment?
I need to get myself a new laptop pretty soon, must be quality kit with the facility to run an external 19" monitor (or even two) in at least 24bit colour.
I'm a website designer so it needs to be well specced - 512mb+ RAM, ethernet, modem, etc.
Would a laptop be able to handle a life as a desktop machine, eg. rigged up to external monitor and run off the mains all day every day??
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I love my vaio pcg-grx316mp - it's not the fastest (1.6Ghz) and only has a 30gig drive (you can get more now), but it does have a 16.1" TFT screen which driven by a mobility radeon 7500 has a native res of 1600x1200 in 32bit colour and has a 3DMark2002 score of 5000.
It's a sony - they're brilliant.

I've run various laptops off mains during the day for years, sometimes attached to monitors/mice/keyboard etc, no worries.
