I have a system running Windows ME. The PC boots up but when it shows the desktop and shortcuts it keeps crashing. If I boot up in safe mode it works fine until it displays Windows Help (don't know why it's doing this). If I close this Help ASAP it's fine but if I leave it running it crashes in safe mode to.
I have uninstalled loads of software and think it may be a virus. Can I view the startup file in safe mode and edit anything that may make it crash. I have looked for a startup file but can't see any.

Any ideas

Cheers

Jer

Can you get to system restore in safe mode before it crashes?

Do you have a spare graphics card to put in and try to re-boot?

Sounds like it's something to do with the graphics generaiton from what you have described..
