Question

Just bought my daughter a SONY D-CJ01 CD/MP3 player, very nice it is too

Now, I have just realised that it will not recognise WMA files - the type that Windows Media Player records!! I cannot record MP3's using Windows Media Player!!

I have NERO CD Burning software and it does not appear to be able to save files on the HD as MP3's Either???!!!

I can download a free ripper from the internet, I know, but which one should I use - NOTE:- I do NOT want it to invade all of my audio files, I need it to just sit there passive until required to do a job - as I prefer Windows Media Player to play all my audio/video. Anyone know of a Windows Media Player download that allows WMP to rip as MP3 files??

I will post this in computers as well, but wanted a fast response - sorry mods (will you forgive me??!!)

Any help appreciated

Pete

So you want to use WMP to rip as MP3 as supposed to WMA?

Which version of WMP are you using? 8? If so, I've got a add-in which allows you to use WMP to rip as MP3.

Can e-mail it if you like?

You need the MP3 add-on for Media Player. Mail me if you have problems with the other guy.

I've always used MusicMatch

It's free and works a treat - done over 400 CD's!

I've always found Musicmatch to be invasive, it doesnt just sit there it takes over certain areas of your PC - doesnt it?
