Right now I've got a crappy little Nokia 3210e on Orange pay-as-you-go.

If I bought one of the new generation phones, like the Samsung T-100, can I pop my old sim card in it ?

Assume the T-100 was unlocked and didn't come with a sim card.

If the T100, I don't know this phone, was unlocked, not blacklisted and GSM1800 compatable then no problems. Will work fine.

Its just you are on Orange and they use the 1800MHz range along with T-Mobile. Vodafone and O2 use 900MHz. So if the phone is dual band 900/1800 then your fine. Like I said, I don't know what that phone is. But beware of dual band 900/1900 phones, 1900 is not used in this country and therefore wont work on Orange or T-Mobile.
