I got it for Xmas and have to say it plays as good as it looks

I've got a couple of niggles tho,

1) the collision's can sometimes be a tad ott i.e. on some of the stages you can hit a small rock, post, tree etc. and it stops you dead. Highly irritating! Especially when some of them are too small to really see when flying down the road.

2) The visual damage engine is very realistic although the car is a little too tough I feel. i.e. you can misjudge a bend and end up rolling the car yet it appears relatively unscathed. You need a really major off or series of offs until the car starts showing signs of any real damage. You do actually damage the car it just doesn't really relate to how the car looks. Only a small point but just takes the edge off the realism for me

Apart from that a super game, you get a good sensation for speed and the cars respond how you would expect them to on gravel or snow etc. The 2 player mode is also very good, I had a good few hours with a mate solidly playing this game, quite uncommon for us to stay on one game for so long

HTH,

Gareth

Thumbs up

As per my post here:

Biggest bargain ever

Really really good game, much more realistic than CMR3 (which I have as well). Great fun, very quick, and lovely in game graphics.

Spent many hours on it now, and for 15 quid, what a bargain!!!
