If I want to use a font that is not normally found on a mac or a PC will it show up correctly ? or do you have to upload the font somehow to the website ?? I don't want the font to be substitued by an "equivalent" etc

It won't show unless the user has that font. You can put up a link for them to download it, but it's considered bad practice to make the user do anything.

There's no real need because you can use that font to create the headings as graphics and for body text you should use a standard sans-serif font (Verdana, Arial etc).

Indeed - it's just the logo text we want so I get it made into a jpeg ..
