Hanley,
Here's a link to e-Mule's homepage: http://www.emule-project.net
I have used it for ages - it is better than eDonkey and is still in development so is being updated nearly every week

The thing I have found with edonkey is you need to update your server lists about once a week then it becomes much more reliable. I have filled up 60gb hdd from edonkey in not very much time at all, u just need to stick stuff on queue and ignore it for a week or so, go back to it and hey presto!

another emule user here, never got very far with edonkey, just sat there attempting to connect and failing.
went to emule and instant downloads.
can also use sites like sharereactor which gives edonkey links, they still go straight into emule

Sorry to say emule is so far the biggest pile of cr@p I have ever used!
How do you get sharereactor links into emule because they wont go straight in by clicking on them, just looks for edonkey client? What do you put in the ED2K Link field under the search tab as any link I put in there says its an invalid link?
Just doing a search for a certain well known game for example brings up no results. I have set my address.dat up so it downloads new server list each time emule opens, I am connecting to a server but doing a search finds absolutely nothing. Its useless
If any of you emule users can point me in the right direction as to what I ma doing wrong it would be much appreciated!

I installed eMule after little success with eDonkey, seemed ok, I found some files I was after, started downloading them .... then it all went pear shaped ...
Seems as soon as my IP was listed loads of people started trying to connect, and the result was latency in excess of 1000ms, and 12% packet loss :O
Not sure if this is normal, but needless to say it got binned!
