I want a realistic racing / rallying game or simulator ... help anyone??
#1
Hello people,
Maybe someone can help. I have never been big on computer games, but fancy getting some form of game that is realistic for rallying / racing. Ideally I would love to get hold of an old arcade game thing with steering wheel and pedals built in, but I have no idea which one to go for and where to get it, what it would set me back.
Failing that what is the best racing / rallying game I can get, on what system, and how much will it cost? (i want to get pedals and steering wheel, else it seems a little pointless!!
BTW I baught a pedal and steering wheel set (Modena 360) for Grand Prix 3 which I baught for my PC, but I could never get the set to work in conjunction with the pc and it never seemed very realistic as pedals were so weak and weightless. Is that the best I am gonna get???
Please advise...!

BURR,
so do you have one of these?? I have a pc, but when i got a modena 360 wheel and pedal set and grand prix 3 for pc, I could never get the wheels and pedal to work properly with the game.
Its the pedals I am most interested in, they are the most useless really on most racing sets!!

Yes, I have one and think its superb. The best thing being, that there's a plugin cartridge that enables the unit to plug into any computer / games console.
.../me is waiting for an Xbox cartridge
Whilst we're on the topic of Force Feedback wheels, does anyone know if the Xbox has true force-feedback, rather than the feeble attempts the consoles have with their "rumble" (or should I say wobble) packs? Let's face it, the Playstation (1 & 2) force feedback is crap, especially when compared to the PC one.

Grand Prix 3 - I think you have to have a 3-axis wheel for that to work correctly.... or make sure your control panel games control setup is correct.
