Question

I am currently waiting a heavy thud on my doormat that is my test drive pack. Would you folks post up your gamertags to allow any other scoobyneters to recognise you on live? maybe get a scoobynet MotoGP championship up and running?

I've added both AlphaEvo and JustJack.
JustJack, you're blinding, you're ranked 2,000 above me.
How do you get so quick on Mugello (if you don't mind me asking)?
I can't seem to improve my time on that.
I'm on automatic (but learning manual - manual on the standard controller is very hard IMO)
AlphaEvo, do you have the full game?
If so complete eh GP and you've gain lots of attribute points.
Youre' getting there, you moved up a helluva lot in the last 24 hours

also, has anybody noticed people cheating on one of the tracks? I can't remember the name but on the final hairpin there's a piece of tarmac shrotcutting it, I was in the lead in race only to be overtaken by someone shortcutting, he was chatting afterwards saying everyone he knows does it and it shaves around 3-5 seconds off your laptime if done right.
This takes the michael !!!

Oh and how do you add friends in Motogp?

Mugello is one of the trial tracks so I guess I've just played it a lot and know the lines. I can normally overtake on both of the S bends just after the first hairpin, turn in at the right time and get the power down and you can fly through. I'm still running Automatic, when I stop beating my times I'll give manual another go.

You can add someone to your Friends whilst in MotoGP only if you're in a room with that person at the time.

There are some huge shortcuts, but I've never used them sucesfully.

I'm going to set up a freinds only GP today as a test and leave it on all day. Have a go at joining me.

Doh, does help if I pick a better bike
I noticed the 'stars' underneath the make of bike, I was riding a 3.5 star bike (and did pretty well I might add, although getting all the golds on training with it was damn hard).
Just swapped to a 5 star bike and I'm taking about 2-3 seconds a lapp off my times.
I'm in the 3,900's now

Might be.
I made some silly mistakes last night, too cautious going into the first corner (trying to avoid a reputation for taking people out). That and I pushed too hard on the hairpins.
I find I'm very slow on the first 2 S's on Mugello, the rest of the track is no problem but I lose a lot of time on thos 2 bits.
we'll have to try and get all scoobynet guys online in one race so we can set up friends.

And what's this 'boingy boing' thing rab?

Is it only moto gp, does anyone play ghost recon?

will be up and running soon. Ordered yesterday, but need another access point to plug it in directly, unless I use my laptop!

Can I ask if anyone plays through a wireless link? because I have been alerted to the issue of packet loss.

There's a lot of shortcuts in Motogp, Jerez is the one with the shortcut on the last hairpin. These issues are being addressed so hopefully future releases should have less cheating

Don't be ashamed Rab, it's the taking part that counts.
I had some races where I finished last.
You'll improve, remember, build the stats.
Pete, is there a difference between bikes? I just notced the 'star' rating on the bike select screen.

Does anyone use the left thumbstick for accel/brake?
I prefer to use the A button and use the Left/right triggers to control (badly) braking.

Adam, I've spoken to people who are using wireless without problems. Santa might just bring me a copy of Ghost Recon or Unreal.

As for cutting corners, play 100% sim, different ball game. Really makes you concentrate on your lines and braking.

The people in the room when you joined me last night were bloody good. Welshman is or was Top 10. I only managed to win one race the whole GP.

I notcied, I think it was the last race (or second to last) when you collided with someone and both crashed, I was catching you and managed to get about 3-4 seconds behind but then I 'pete tonged'
Welshman took me out in the chicane at Donnington, I braked into the corner and he went straight into me - I crashed but he carried on

what I really want to know is which of the two current Xbox live games is the one to plump for?

dont want to buy both. Not really a big fan of racing games but dont want to buy another first person type game as I already have halo and splinter cell (third person I know).

anyhoo, the reason for the next game purchase is purely for the fun of xbox live. With this in mind which is the one for the most live fun?

bear in mind i have never played an online game before in my life.
