Question

when in IE (or i think same as in outlook) you click on sometime to open, it will give you the option "to open the file" or "save it to disk", and at the bottom got a tick box saying always ask before opening this type of file.

now the tick box was untick, therefore dont get the pop-up box asking option for "to open the file" or "save it to disk".

how do i get the option back on???

suba - The prompt before opening parameter is held in the properties for each file type. You don't say which OS you're using, but assuming you know your way around Windows, try the following:
Open the My Computer folder, go to Tools, Folder Options, File Types. Highlight the required file type (e.g. DOC), then go to Advanced (or might be Properties in some OSs)and check the "Confirm open after download" box. Save all the changes.
