Are you looking for a permanent role based in Leeds, you MUST be living in the west yorkshire area.
This position is paying 25-28k NO car/allowance

You will be from a networking background, with strong exchange 5.5 & 2000 skills & good AD & DNS also. There will be a requirement for AD & Exchange design for 5 UK sites & 6 European Sites, although total user base is only 1000 max.
This is an NT4 migration project & will be superb for the right person.

You will have built exchange 2000 server, be familiar with exchange 5.5 recovery tools & be able to implement disaster recovery proceedures.

All the usual suspects to include: ADMT,ADSI, DHCP, WINS, full Server builds, hardware RAID, understanding of subnetting.

You will understand (but not nesessarily have installed) firewalls, routing, VPN.
Must be customer facing & good personal skills a must.

Experience is a must for this role, no paper MCSE's please.

If you are interested please mail me as per profile. I will contact those that have the skillbase that I need.

thanks

shunty (aka Nick)

thanks for that dingy

I wish interviewers/companies would look beyond the paper stuff & realise that life experience & varied employment bring experience in itself that you would never get from reading a book.

ps - I do have a HND & BSC (with honours) in I.T.

Unhappy

Standing on my head Pretty well captures what I do everyday along with ts/citrix and firewalls etc.

A real shame that you are the other end of the country to me as I would be throwing myself at it to get out where I am currently

Sod's law eh?

Cheers and ttt,

Nick

P.S Paper MCSE's should be taken out and shot I dunno how people can bring themselves to go through boot camps/muppet cram training and have any self respect, let along think they are god! Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now......

Hi David, I did think about you, but I thought you didn't have either exchange or AD mate ??
hence I never mailed you. I am actually going to be looking for 2 people, 1 now & 1 after xmas, but the pay's not that good.
Mail me with your numbers again (I have a new phone & your number is on my desktop @ home)

edited to add - fancy meeting for dinner today to discuss then ??

Question

Employing people with experience is all well and good, but how are the people supposed to get this experience?
