The original game formed some quite strong opinions I have about current video games and their players. Hoping this one has a good radio station to.

 

men folk find their women scarey....because they were so big n hairy......

love the radio stations on the first game

 

They had this in Game in Manchester today. Guy reckoned if I took GTA3 down first thing in the morning, they would give me £18 trade in. Reckons if I waited til the PM, they would give me £6 trade in

 

Apparantly there's hours more radio stuff and more talk radio (which I enjoyed)
Plays the same but better graphics, a lot bigger, more weapons (inc chainsaw), motorbikes, more cars, able to fly helicopters.........oh joy

And I've never liked computer games, but GTA3 blew me away coz of the pure freedom and this apparently is better

Just bought a copy lunchtime, but have to wait until tonight!!!

My company doesn't give time off for major PS2 releases unfortunately - shameful huh !

 

Just of round my mates house. He's had a day off just to play the game

Just got back

Looks pretty damn good They haven't got too far through it yet, but great cars and bikes, costume changes, dancing in a nightclub, beating people up with golfclubs and stuff lile that.

Just done a mission where you have to fly an RC helicopter and drop 4 bombs into a building site to blow it up in a time limit. Great fun.

Have to say it looks really good. If you liked the first one its definately worth a purchase, but if not then don't bother.

The music is all 80's style, as you know, so don't expect any more drum 'n' bass

The islands don't look very big, but enough to keep you amused for some time I think. Personally, If I had the first one I wouldn't buy it, but then I wasn't over impressed with the first one. The blur is still there and you don't think you can switch it off like on the PC version.

 

Got the game yesterday and you can turn the blur off.

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Quality game. Loads of classic tunes and loads of variety. Spent most of the day pissing around not even doing missions and trying massive jumps on the sports bike.

Wish I hadnt sold my PS2 for a GC now

Done a few missions and like P1 Fanatic i just drive about causing aggro

Is it compulsory to perform a wheelie / stoppie every pull away / stop on the motorbike?

 

Lol try pullng the really long wheelies as you get money for em. Some of the jumps you can do are amazing - one where you drive up some concrete stairs and then up onto a roof then over another ramp onto yet another roof - MASSSIVE!!

Best is stealing a cop car and doing vigilante mode!

Awesome game!

Currently at the stage were I just moved into a massive mansion, cos I just killed boss To show my supreme prowess I then had to show the town that I was top dog so unfortunately I had to go down to the mall and shoot up the shops (and shoppers )

Fav weapons are the magnum and the pump action shoot gun

 

beemerboy - well worth it mate. You can spend days just driving around mucking about before you even contemplate starting the missions. The motorbikes are schweeeet

Love the attention to detail in the game. I went down to the Malibu Club for a bit of a dance wearing my golfers gear and the Bouncers beat me up

Taking peoples heads clean off with the sniper rifle is a bit shocking though!

 

if u brake n throttle up on the bike it does a big smokey burnout u can spin it around on the spot to, same applies to the cars. Like the way u can control the bikes angle with up n down whilst airbourne. Awesome game, detail is stunning. The 1st tank was fun Like the RC heli and inside helicopter stuff... not got that far yet

 

Right, that does it, i'll send wifey down the game shop on an errand, me thinks....

Got a praise from a cop for being a good citizen cos I ran over the criminal he was chasing

Wicked game! Just read from eurogamer that you need at around 80hrs to complete the game

 

Remember to go back and give the criminal 3 good kicks while hes on the ground. Each one is worth $50

Lol when u get 3 stars and cops r hunting u down they will do anything to stop you. Blockades, ramming, stingers (tyre spikes). Is fun seeing how long you can outrun them - I find a coach does well

 

The armoured van is awesome for a getaway!

Managed to get 6 stars by going on a killing spree within the mall when I came running out I was faced with 2 tanks and 1 truck full of army blokes . In my wisdom I tried to hijack one of the tanks and got busted

Stingers are class, only had the cops do it on the golf course though
