Looking at buying the new Palm ZIRE anyone used/got one?

A good second hand IIIx would be a better option. More memory and has a back light (the Zire does not)
If you can stretch to it, get a Sony SL-10 (also Palm OS) - but has a hi-res screen, more memory, backlight and Memory Stick for upgrades.
Handspring are generally to expensive for what they are.
The low end Palms are commodity items nowadays - so don't worry to much. Anything you buy will be obsolete witin 3 months.
